Компания Picchio Racing подготовила «самую экстремальную» версию купе Alfa Romeo 4C, которое превратили в 600-сильный гоночный автомобиль. На этой машине пилот Марко Граменци примет участие в Чемпионате Италии по подъему на гору в сезоне 2017 года.

Купе оснащено модернизированной 1,75-литровой «турбочетверкой», форсированной с 240 лошадиных сил и 350 Нм крутящего момента до 600 сил и 580 Нм (доступен при 7500 оборотах в минуту). Двигатель сочетается с секвентальной коробкой передач Hewland.

During the 2016 Trofeo Vallecamonica Italian hillclimb I was able to see and record the new hillclimb weapon of Marco Gramenzi.
It's an Alfa Romeo 4C based project built and developed by Picchio Racing (a small race cars manufacturer) in order to compete for the title in the 2017 CIVM, the Italian hillclimb championship.

Call it "Alfa Romeo 4C" is probabily a bit wrong because the only things that are still from the original car are the carbon fiber chassis and part of the external look. Everything else is new.
The wheelbase has been extended of around 30 cm, the suspensions are push-rod type and it mounts 13'' wheels (like Formulas or Prototypes).
The engine is a longitudinally mounted 1750cc 4-cylinder which is now able to produce 600 hp at 8200 rpm and 580 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm and it has been combined with a Hewland TMT-200 sequential gearbox.

Судя по всему Марко не хватило этого. Он выкинул шасси и мотор от 4С, сделал пространственную раму, воткнул Zytek/Gibson V8 (от Formula 3000) и натянул сверху пластиковую реплику 4С. Назвал новую машину MG-AR1 Furore.
