A few years ago a small group of Italian and British friends, passionate of beautiful cars, of DYS and in contact with the car industry, after seeing how important the market of minor sport cars is, decided to start an adventure in this field.
After studying the market offerings, and not wanting to be lost in the ocean of LSIS or Cobra cars replicas, they realised that the beautiful Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 was completely ignored by those manufacturers, apart from some Italian, British and Belgian artisans, who produce both exact replicas, able to be confused with the original ones (and almost as expensive!), and other rough replicas just vaguely resembling mechanically and aesthetically to the Zagato masterpiece.
After sourcing an original body, they undertook a long, precious and precise work to transform a body issued from the original period mould to a mock up suitable to obtain a moulds set for an industrial product.
At the same time, because of the difficulty in obtaining modern road tyres in sizes of the original, it appeared clear that the coupling of new wheels to old suspensions was not a good solution to obtain the maximum enjoyment from the car.
One of the group, a mechanical engineer and designer with extensive motorsport experience, designed new front and rear suspensions, brakes, and other revisions.
This is not to be confused with the original TZ2 and is no way designed to fall into the misty word of fakes and half fake/half original, a new logo have been created, with colours and symbols of Lombardy and European Community; in the same time the new company have been named NOT – A. R.
The meaning of this acronym is clear.
The result of this hard and passionate work is now almost ready for the market and NOT – A. R. is proud to show an almost finished car at the RACE RETRO show in Stoneleight UK next 14 – 16 march, Hall 3, stand N30.
