The Berlina Da Corsa ("Racing Sedan" in Italian) was designed by Seong Jun Ko for his final thesis in Transportation Design at the Hong-ik University, South Korea.
The most unique features are the 4-door opening system and the roof, which can change its shape thanks to the skin's cellular material sensitive to electricity and a flexible structure made of wires.
This allows to have a more streamlined body in case of a race event or to have a larger space when accomodating the rear passengers.
The interesting design combines some modern element with styling cues inspired by past Italian sportscars. The design references include the Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior and 1750 GTV.
The elongated tail, without the rear window, reminds of the racing prototypes from the 1970s, the enlargd wheel-arches have reminescences of the company's GTA models and the pillar-less windshield is similar to that of the Lancia Stratos.
The bold language that characterizes both the front and rear grilles and lights shares some similarities with the modern American muscle cars such as the Challenger and the Camaro.
